About:

The 1st edition of “Great Kovai Bakeoff” is organised by “Lathas School of Baking and Cake Art” as a part of “Coimbatore Vizha" to encourage amateur bakers, home bakers, and baking professionals of the region. It is aimed to bring out the best talents to the limelight through various competitions offering exciting prizes. We are sure to surprise you with interesting demonstrations, cake art exhibits, tasting sessions and a select range of artisanal food products and quirky accessories for baking enthusiasts.

Registration:

Register today by selecting the category and paying the registration fee for each entry. Participants are allowed to enter more than one category, but only one entry is allowed per person per category.

Each entry must be an original work of the participant.

All registrations must be received on later than 5 pm on Jan 2nd 2023.

Participants should not post / upload images of their competition entries on any social media platform / website before judging is completed.

How it works:

The competition will happen in two rounds

- a preliminary round and a final round. In the preliminary round, participants will present their creations at the venue in respective display space allotted as per the conditions of the category specified. The products / displays will be evaluated by the judges and top 6 entries are selected for the final round.

The judgement would be based upon the selection criteria mentioned under competition categories.

The final round will be a “Mystery Box Challenge” designed to assess the core skill of the participant.

The winners will be declared based on the judges scores / decisions which would be final.

When:

Preliminary rounds of competition for all categories will be held on Sth January 2023.

Final rounds of competition for all categories will be held on 6th January 2023.

Displays will be exhibited from 7th January

2023 to 8th January 2023.
